Brass construction with switch, built-in earth point for safety and cable grip.
Built in switch means there is no need for a cable mounted on off inline switch.

It may be hard to run a 3 core cable up the arms of a Anglepoise 1227. The best chance is a  fabric
wrapped one at 0.5mm.

Internal earth is much better looking than an external connection.

This is a metal bulb holder that must be earthed.

Needs 10mm cord grip.
